Tras salir 16º en la parrilla, Álex Márquez ha tomado riesgos para ganar posiciones y sumar puntos, pero desafortunadamente se ha caído cuando ocupaba la 14ª posición en la séptima vuelta cuando aún restaban 12 para terminar.

Márquez ha comenzado la carrera de 26 vueltas con más confianza después de los cambios realizados en la puesta a punto de su moto durante el warm-up, pero después no ha sido capaz de materializarlo en un buen resultado en el exigente circuito Bugatti de 4,2km.

“Durante todo el fin de semana he sufrido mucho con la puesta a punto y en el warm-up esta mañana hemos cambiado muchas cosas para mejorarla, pero no han sido suficiente. Después en la carrera sabía que sería difícil saliendo 16º, pero he tratado de mantener la calma y pilotar suave hasta que me he caído sin saber por qué. Tenemos que entender qué ha pasado y dejar atrás estos malos momentos para tratar de hacer una buena carrera en Mugello, un circuito que me gusta”.

From 16th on the grid Álex Márquez faced a risky race to make up positions and score points but unfortunately he crashed out of 14th place on lap seven with 12 laps remaining

Márquez went into the 26-lap race with some confidence boosting set-up changes in the morning warm-up but he was unable to capitalise on the demanding 4.2km Bugatti circuit.

“All weekend we have been struggling a lot with set-up and in the warm-up this morning we changed many things and made a good step but still not enough. Then in the race I knew it would difficult from P16 but I tried to stay calm and ride smooth but then I crashed and I don’t know why. We need to understand what happened and move on from these bad moments and change and try for a good race in Mugello which is a circuit that I like.»
