Alex Márquez se ha caído en la segunda curva durante la cuarta vuelta cuando buscaba el podio en el Gran Premio de Alemania. Una lástima para el de Cervera después de colocarse primero tras la salida y liderar en las dos primeras vueltas.

Disputados ya 9 grandes premios, Alex figura cuarto en la general provisional del campeonato del mundo de Moto2 con 113 puntos.

Álex Márquez: “La carrera de hoy no ha ido como esperábamos y no es la manera en la que queríamos terminar la primera parte de la temporada. Desde la segunda vuelta he sufrido con el agarre de los neumáticos y he tenido un gran susto en la curva siete cuando he soltado el gas, y la moto se ha cruzado. Me ha pasado lo mismo dos vueltas después en la curva dos, pero esta vez no he podido hacer nada, la moto se ha cruzado completamente y me he caído. Aun así, tengo que decir que, aunque no es así como queríamos terminar la primera parte del Mundial, ahora tengo tiempo para recuperarme antes de volver a la acción en Brno, uno de mis circuitos favoritos y donde espero comenzar muy fuerte la segunda mitad de la temporada.”

Alex crashes at Sachsenring fighting for victory

While looking set for a podium challenge Álex Márquez crashed at turn two on lap four thus ending his race early after getting the holeshot and leading the opening two laps.

Morbidelli leads the standings on 173 points ahead of Lüthi on 136, Oliveira 114 and Márquez in fourth on 113 points.

Álex Márquez: «Today’s race was not how we were hoping to round out the first half of the season. From the second lap I was struggling for grip and I had a big moment in turn seven when I shut the gas, with the rear trying to come round on me. The same happened two laps later at turn two and there was nothing I could do, the rear just went and I was down. Anyway, like I said, this isn’t how we wanted to finish the first half of the season but now we have some time to recover before returning to action in Brno, one of my favourite tracks and where I hope to start the second half of the season strongly.»
