Álex Márquez llega a Estados Unidos deseando sacarse la espina de Argentina, donde se cayó en la última vuelta cuando luchaba por la victoria con su compañero del Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Franco Morbidelli.

El piloto español está decidido a resarcirse con un buen resultado en Texas, y confía en poder estar al mismo nivel que en Argentina en los entrenamientos libres y cronometrados, para una vez más, poder luchar por ganar la carrera este fin de semana en la competitiva categoría de Moto2.

Álex Márquez: “El año pasado tuve problemas con los antebrazos en la carrera de Austin, pero este año las cosas han cambiado. Vamos a Texas con el objetivo de volver a luchar por la victoria, sobre todo después de la decepción de perder el podio en Argentina tras caer en la última vuelta.

Sabemos lo que tenemos que hacer durante el fin de semana para ser fuertes en la carrera, por eso, debemos asegurarnos de seguir en la misma línea. Yo tengo que mantenerme concentrado, hacerlo bien en los cronometrados, como en las dos primeras carreras, y después apretar en la carrera del domingo. Confío en poder hacer un buen trabajo aquí”.

Álex wants to fight for the win in the Grand Prix of the Americas

Álex Márquez heads to the United States of America looking to make amends for Argentina, where he crashed out of the race on the final lap while battling for the win with his Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS teammate Franco Morbidelli.

The Spanish rider is determined to bounce back in Texas with a good result and he is confident that if he can find the same form in free practice and qualifying as in Argentina then, once again, he can challenge for his first race win in the competitive Moto2 class this weekend.

Álex Márquez: «Last year I had problems with arm pump in the race at Austin, but this year things are different. We head to Texas looking once again to fight for the win, after the disappointment of missing out on the podium in Argentina because of a last lap crash.

We know now how we need to work during the weekend to put us in the strongest position for the race, so we need to ensure we continue in this way. I just need to stay focussed, put in a good qualifying performance like at the first two races and then push again in the race on Sunday. I’m confident we can do a good job here».
