Álex Márquez tiene el firme objetivo de subir al podio este fin de semana en el Circuito de Termas de Río Hondo. El piloto del Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS llega a Argentina tras haber realizado una gran actuación en el primera carrera del Mundial de Moto2 en Qatar, terminando quinto después de batallar por el podio durante la primera parte de la prueba.

Este inicio de campeonato ha hecho crecer la confianza de Álex, que ahora llega a Sudamérica decidido a luchar por su primer podio de la temporada en la carrera de Moto2, programada a 23 vueltas.

Álex Márquez: «En Qatar hicimos un buen fin de semana, a pesar de sufrir un poco el domingo. Pero después de revisar la telemetría de la carrera tenemos una idea muy clara de dónde perdimos y, en eso, es precisamente en lo que nos centraremos este fin de semana en Argentina.

El circuito de Termas de Río Hondo me gusta mucho y el año pasado fui rápido allí, así que estoy muy motivado para el fin de semana que tenemos por delante. El objetivo será luchar por acabar la carrera en el podio y, después del buen inicio de temporada en Qatar, creo que es una meta realista”.

Álex targets the podium in Argentina

Álex Márquez has his sights set firmly on the podium this weekend, as he heads to the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit. Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider arrives in Argentina off the back of a strong performance in the opening race of the Moto2 World Championship in Qatar, which he finished in fifth place after battling in the top three during the early stages.

This was a confidence boosting start to the season for álex, who heads to South America determined to fight for his first podium finish of the season in Sunday’s 23-lap Moto2 encounter.

Álex Márquez: «In Qatar we made a good weekend, despite struggling a little on the Sunday, but after checking the data from the race we have a good idea what we miss and this is where we will focus this weekend in Argentina.

The Termas de Rio Hondo track is one I like a lot and one at which I was fast last year, so I’m very motivated for the weekend ahead. The aim is to fight for a podium finish in the race and, after the good start to the season in Qatar, I’m confident that this is a realistic goal».
