El piloto del Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS llega al Gran Premio de Qatar determinado a iniciar con fuerza la temporada 2018 del Campeonato del Mundo de Moto2.

Álex Márquez, que este año comienza su cuarta temporada en la categoría intermedia con el Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS, parte en Qatar como uno de los claros favoritos para luchar por el campeonato. Sin embargo, el ex campeón del mundo de Moto3 no se hace ilusiones ante el panorama de rivales que le espera este año.

Álex Márquez: «Hemos trabajado muy duro esta pretemporada para mejorar nuestro ritmo y rendimiento. Creo que lo hemos hecho bien, así que estoy deseando que empiece la primera carrera. Será interesante porque, el de Qatar, es un circuito completamente distinto a aquellos donde hemos estado entrenando, y resultará especialmente importante cómo se comporte el neumático trasero duro con la moto en Qatar”.

“Me gusta mucho el circuito, es muy divertido, rápido y fluido. Llegamos allí con la motivación al máximo para la nueva temporada. Intentaremos acabar la carrera en el podio y espero continuar con un ritmo regular en el resto de las carreras. Junto a mi equipo, lo daremos todo”.

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider into this weekend’s Grand Prix of Qatar determined to get his 2018 Moto2 World Championship campaigns off to a flying start.

Márquez, who this year will race for a fourth season in the intermediate class with Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS, starts in Qatar as one of the clear favourites for championship honours. However, the former Moto3 World Champion is under no illusions as to the calibre of the competition he faces this season.

Álex Márquez: «We have worked so hard this preseason to improve our performance and our rhythm and I think we did quite well, so I can’t wait to get to the first race. It will be an interesting weekend because Qatar is a completely different track to those where we’ve tested and it will be important to learn how the harder rear tyre works with the bike in Qatar”.

“I really like the track, it’s great fun to ride because it’s fast and it really flows. We go there with maximum motivation for the new season. We will try to finish the race on the podium and hopefully continue with a regular rhythm at all the races. I will give my all, along with my team”.
