Álex Márquez se ha recuperado de un gran susto en la tercera vuelta del Gran Premio de Australia de Moto2 tras salirse por la hierba en la curva 11. Eso le ha hecho bajar hasta la duodécima posición.

Pero el piloto del Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS ha seguido apretando y ha jugado un papel importante ayudando a Morbidelli en su lucha por el título, porque con su remontada ha superado a varios pilotos al final para terminar sexto y quitar algunos puntos a Lüthi

Álex Márquez: “No he salido muy bien y estaba tratando de recuperar posiciones cuando me he ido largo. Este error me ha costado entrar por detrás de varios pilotos y la carrera se ha complicado.»

«Sigo sin estar al 100% físicamente después de mis últimas lesiones, pero he tirado a tope al final y he adelantado a Lüthi y a otros pilotos para terminar sexto. Aunque no es el mejor resultado creo que el fin de semana ha sido positivo.”

Positive sixth place for Alex in Australia

Álex Márquez recovered from a scary moment on lap three of the Moto2 Australian GP when he ran wide onto the wet grass at turn 11 and dropped back to 12th position.

But the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider then played a role in Morbidelli’s title chase by charging through the traffic to finish sixth and crucially taking championship points from Lüthi.

Álex Márquez: “I didn’t make a very good start and was trying to recover some positions when I ran wide and this mistake put me behind a lot of riders so it was a difficult race.»

«I’m still not 100% fit after my recent injuries but I pushed hard and was able to overtake Lüthi and other riders to finally finish sixth. While this was not the best result it was a positive weekend.»
