Durante dos días, Álex Márquez ha acumulado los quilómetros, la experieriencia y la información necesarios para afrontar con garantías los primeros test oficiales del año.

El Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS ha exprimido al máximo esta segunda tanda de test privados que ha acogido el Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. Han sido dos jornadas de intenso trabajo en las que se ha rodado muchísimo, Álex Márquez ha realizado un total de 171 vueltas. La consolidación de una buena base de puesta a punto y el trabajo con distintos mapas del nuevo motor Triumph 765cc han sido las principales líneas de acción para ambos pilotos. La aerodinámica, cambios en las suspensiones y el freno motor han sido los otros frentes abiertos durante dos días de entreno que han finalizado con un simulacro de carrera en el que los pilotos del Team han rodado en tiempos muy competitivos.

Así, cargado de quilómetros, experiencia y mucha provechosa información, el Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 abandona momentáneamente Jerez donde regresará el próximo miércoles 20 de Febrero para los primeros test oficiales de 2019.

Álex Márquez, 1:41:896, 171 vueltas,  756 km: “Después de Valencia sabíamos que teníamos mucho trabajo por delante y aquí lo hemos confirmado. Hemos trabajado duro y hemos dado pasitos adelante. Nos hemos centrado en el ritmo de carrera, en mejorar sensaciones y probar varias piezas nuevas.  Creo que la base que hemos encontrado es buena y que en los próximos test ya nos podremos centrar en cuestiones más propias del pilotaje y en pulir pequeños detalles. Estoy muy contento de estos días así que hay que seguir en esta línea.»

Álex Márquez completes fruitful test at Jerez

Alex Márquez have accumulated crucial kilometres over the last two days, gaining experience and information necessary to face the first official tests of the year with great confidence.

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS has worked to the maximum during the second round of private tests hosted by the Circuit of Jerez-Angel Nieto. It has been two days of intense riding in which a lot of work has been completed, with Alex Márquez completing 171 laps. Confirming a good base set-up and working with different maps on the new Triumph 765cc engine have been the main tasks for both riders. Aerodynamics, suspension changes and working on engine braking set-up were the other areas explored during two days of testing that ended with race simulations in which Márquez set very competitive times.

Having gained a lot of experience and useful information, Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS briefly leaves Jerez before returning on Wednesday 20 February for the first official tests of 2019.

Alex Márquez, 1:41:896, 171 laps, 756 km: “After the Valencia test we knew we had a lot of work ahead of us and we confirmed that here in Jerez. But we have worked hard and taken steps forward. Here we focused on working on race pace, improving feelings and testing several new parts.  I think that the base we have found is good and that in the next tests we will be able to focus on improving riding style and polishing small details. I’m very happy with these two days, so we have to continue in this line.”
