El piloto del equipo Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS ha firmado en el Gran Premio de Alemania la décimo tercera posición por problemas de neumáticos.

Las veintiocho vueltas de la carrera de Moto2 en el Gran Premio de Alemania han resultado una dura batalla en un domingo de calor y humedad sobre el sinuoso circuito de 3.6 km de Sachsenring.

La carrera ha supuesto un agotador desafío para Álex Márquez, todavía dolorido después de su fuerte caída en la FP3 del sábado. En el inicio de carrera, Márquez se ha situado en la cuarta plaza, bajando luego al séptimo lugar y teniendo después una dura batalla con seis pilotos por entrar entre los diez primeros. Aunque ha finalizado décimo tercero, Márquez ha acabado a menos de dos segundos de la octava posición.

La próxima carrera del Campeonato del Mundo de Moto2 se celebrará el 5 de agosto en el Gran Premio de República Checa, circuito de Brno. Márquez se mantiene en el tercer lugar con 113 puntos.

Álex Márquez: «He sufrido mucho desde las primeras vueltas, especialmente en el neumático trasero. No estaba seguro de si algo en la moto estaba mal, así que mi objetivo era simplemente tener todo controlado y terminar la carrera. He tirado al máximo, pero he comenzado a sufrir más a partir de mitad de carrera, así que ha sido un fin de semana difícil para nosotros. No me gusta haber terminado la primera mitad de temporada de esta manera, pero ahora llega el parón de verano para intentar recuperarnos de nuevo».

Exhausting challenge for Alex at Sachsenring

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider has signed 13th place at the German Grand Prix.

A hard fought 28 lap German GP was raced on a warm and humid day at the twisting and physically exhausting 3.6km Sachsenring.

The race was an exhausting challenge for Alex Marquez who was battered and bruised after a heavy fall in Saturday’s FP3 session. Marquez was briefly fourth on the opening lap, having started seventh, and then was part of fierce six rider battle for the top ten. Although thirteenth at the finish Marquez was just 1.9s out of eighth place.

The next race of the Moto2 World Championship will be held on August 5 at the Czech Republic Grand Prix. Marquez holds third position with 113 points.

Alex Marquez: “I suffered a lot right front first lap especially with the rear tyre so I’m not sure if something went wrong and my focus was then just to control everything and finish the race. I pushed 100% but I started to suffer more from the halfway point so it was a difficult race. I don’t like to finish the first half of the season like this but I know we have the summer break to recover and go again.”
