Alex Márquez está listo para empezar la temporada 2016 de Moto2 después de un positivo test de tres días en el Circuito Internacional de Losail, en Qatar.

El test de Qatar ha brindado una gran oportunidad a Alex Márquez para trabajar y afinar la puesta a punto de su Kalex de Moto2 antes de la primera carrera de la temporada, la cuál arrancará para la categoría intermedia con dos sesiones de entrenamientos libres el jueves 17 de marzo.

Márquez ha aprovechado el test de Qatar para seguir con el trabajo de puesta a punto de las suspensiones que ya inició en el último test en Jerez. El español de 19 años ha logrado mejorar sus sensaciones con la moto durante el curso de los tres días, para lograr su mejor vuelta en la última sesión de hoy para terminar noveno a menos de un segundo del más rápido.

Álex Márquez: “Los tres días aquí en Catar han sido realmente positivos para mí. Hemos trabajado mucho y hemos dado un paso adelante cada día, terminando con mi mejor vuelta en el test en la última sesión esta tarde. Tengo buenas sensaciones con la moto y el ritmo también ha sido bueno, pero tenemos algo de trabajo pendiente para encontrar ese poquito que nos falta. Aquí la muñeca me ha dolido un poco, pero espero que esté mucho mejor cuando regresemos para la carrera. Me siento cómodo, relajado y no veo la hora de empezar la temporada 2016”.

Márquez is ready to start the season in Qatar!

Alex Márquez is ready to get the 2016 Moto2 season underway, after a positive three-day test at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.

Qatar test provided to Alex Márquez an ideal opportunity to work on refining the set up of his Kalex Moto2 machines ahead of the opening race of the season, which gets underway with two free practice sessions for the intermediate class on Thursday 17th March.

Márquez used the Qatar test to continue the work on suspension settings he started during the previous test in Jerez. The 19-year-old Spaniard managed to improve his feeling with the bike over the course of the three days, before posting his fastest lap in today’s final session to finish in ninth position and less than a second off the fastest time.

Álex Márquez: “The three days here in Qatar have been really positive for me. We’ve done a lot of work and we made a step forward each day, ending with my fastest lap of the test in the final session today. I have a good feeling with the bike and the rhythm was also good, but we still have some work to do to find that last little bit we’re missing. There was a little bit of pain from the wrist here, but I expect it to be much better when we return here for the race. I feel comfortable, I feel relaxed and I can’t wait to get the 2016 season started now.”
