En las primeras vueltas del Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña Álex Márquez estaba batallando por el podio cuando una caída le ha dejado sin opciones de subirse al cajón.

Márquez ha perdido la rueda delantera y se ha caído en la curva 16 durante la quinta vuelta. A pesar de ello, se ha vuelto a subir a la moto y ha llegado a meta en decimoquinta posición.

Álex Márquez: “La caída ha sido mi culpa, totalmente mi culpa y es una pena porque tenía buenas sensaciones y estaba en buena posición para luchar por el podio. Hemos probado una cosa para la carrera que no era ideal, pero no es excusa, porque el resto del fin de semana ha sido positivo y hemos sido competitivos. Sé por qué me he caído y eso es lo importante de cara a la próxima carrera en Misano.”

Michael Bartholemy: “Ha sido una pena que Alex se haya caído en la primera fase de la carrera, porque estaba siendo un fin de semana increíble para él, había sido rápido tanto en mojado como en seco y por eso esperamos que vaya igual de bien en la próxima carrera en Misano”.

Márquez crashes out in podium fight

In the opening laps of the British Grand Prix Álex Márquez raced in tandem with his teammate with the pair in the early battle for third and fourth positions.  

When Márquez lost the front-end and crashed out of third place at turn 16 on lap five. Despite that, Álex took the bike again and ended the race in 25th place.

Álex Márquez: «The crash was my mistake, totally my fault and it is a pity because I was feeling good and in a position to fight for the podium. We tried one thing for the race that was not ideal but this is not an excuse because the rest of the weekend was so positive and competitive. I know why I crashed and this is important now as we head to the next race in Misano”.

Michael Bartholemy: «Álex went out of the race early because it had been an impressive weekend for him, he was fast in both wet and dry conditions so we need to see this pace from him at the next race in Misano«.
